Street light maintenance

All of the street lights along the roadways are District facilities and are regularly maintained by replacing burned-out bulbs or sensors, cleaning or straightening fixtures as needed, and replacement of the entire pole in the event of an accident or severe storm damage. Regular outage reviews are performed every week throughout the community but if anyone notices a street light not working, you are encouraged to contact the District Office or submit a service request.

Roadway maintenance

All the roads within the District are public roads dedicated to Osceola County but maintained by the Enterprise CDD. This includes street sweeping (also keeps the drainage structures clean), repair of damaged areas including sink holes, and occasionally repaving sections or entire roadways as necessary.

Stormwater management

Though mostly unseen and unnoticed by many, the District is acutely involved in stormwater management for the many retention ponds in the District. As with chemicals used in aquatic weed control, maintenance of these stormwater management areas are heavily permitted through other governmental agencies and the District has to comply with all conditions of these permits, including monitoring stormwater runoff and performing certain maintenance activities to ensure a clean drainage system and stormwater management system.

Mosquito control

Clarke Mosquito Control is the provider for mosquito control services in the District. They are on property every weekday evening around dusk or later, spraying along the roadways and sidewalk paths to eliminate adult mosquitoes. The biggest advantage to having a good mosquito control program is to reduce the risk of mosquito-borne illnesses.

Aquatic weed control

The District has a maintenance contract with Applied Aquatic to provide control of the nuisance vegetation in the District's ponds with various treatments. Applied Aquatic is on site regularly and will treat some aquatic weeds with chemicals or removing by hand. All treatments are in compliance with all the permits the District has with various agencies, including Reedy Creek Improvement District (RCID) and South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD). A good aquatic weed control system will also help reduce potential breeding sites for mosquitoes.
