The average adult will use between 1,500 and 2,000 gallons per
month. Young children and teenagers may average 2,000 to 2,500
gallons per month (lots of showers and/or
laundry).
Keep in mind that visiting guests, frequent car washing or hand
watering, or other unusual circumstances will vary water usage from
month to month. In order to calculate a reliable average, District
staff looks at usage over a 12-month period to notice any patterns
or unusual usage amounts.
Where can I find how
much water I have used on my bill?
On the right side of the bill, about two-thirds of the way down
just above the section listing all the individual charges is a whole
number. This is your usage in thousands of gallons
("6" represents 6,000 gallons for the billing period).
There will be separate usage numbers for your potable meter and
for your reuse meter.
The District has been experiencing water pressure problems in
various areas throughout the community over the past few years. In
response to that issue, the District rezoned the reuse system into
three zones and
since that work is complete, Toho Water Authority has guaranteed that
there will be enough water and enough pressure for each zone every
day.

Meters are read the middle of each month. Staff reviews the meter
readings, rereads any unusual readings, and then sends the
information to the billing department to print and mail.
Bills are sent by the end of the month, and payment is due within
three weeks of the billing date.
The due date is noted on the bill. After the meters are read and
bills are mailed to customers, usually by the end of the month,
payment is due within three weeks of the billing date.
An envelope is provided with each statement for your convenience.
Proper postage is required and our utility staff
receives these at the post office box on a daily basis.
Payments may also be made in the
District Office
during business hours.
Once a payment is dropped off at the District Office, it is
considered paid.
